Adoption fees are $75 for ferrets, $50-$150 for chinchillas, and $8 for rats ($10 for a same-sex pair).
Fee for ferrets include rabies and dystemper vaccines and spay/neuter unless otherwise stated in this agreement.They do NOT include spay/neuter for chinchillas or rats (neither chinchillas nor rats need vaccination).

AS ABOVE MENTIONED ADOPTER, BY SIGNING THIS CONTRACT, I AGREE TO AND
UNDERSTAND THE CONDITIONS SET FORTH.
1. Adopter agrees to research and learn the proper requirements for appropriate care including; bedding, food, housing, and human interaction and contact prior to applying for adoption. 2. All ferrets adopted from DRAC are altered or will be altered within 30 days. 3(a). No animals are to be bred or allowed to breed, either accidentally or on purpose. If breeding occurs, the adopter agrees to contact DRAC and inform them. This may result in DRAC reclaiming said animal. 3(b). Any person found to have bred an animal adopted from Draconis will be subject to a $200 fine, as well as relinquishment of the animal adopted and all of his/her offspring.4. All animals are to be made and kept current on vaccines and other necessary medical needs as
recommended by their vet. 5. The first vet visit can be within 15 days of adoption for refund of adoption fee, provided
veterinarian documentation of major medical problem that the adopter was unaware of prior to adoption. In the
event of death within 30 days of adoption, veterinary documentation must be provided stating
such medical problem. DRAC may or may not assist in treatment of such illness as it deems
necessary, at their sole discretion, provided we have the funding available. DRAC is to be
notified within 24 hrs. of such prognosis. 6. No refund or substitution shall be given for any animal that has been lost, stolen, killed, or
any illness or injury that has been caused by neglect or abuse and/or breach of contract. 7. Should the adoptee find that they are unable to care for or find that said pet is unsuitable to their lifestyle, they are able to return the animal to DRAC within 15 days and receive a refund.
Animals may be returned after 15 days with or without refund. This will be determined on a case by case basis. Adopter agrees to provide veterinary
care as set forth in this contract to said animal, until the return of said animal, with
documentation of said care, at adopter's expense. 8. Adopter agrees to exercise proper and reasonable care of said pet. The pet is to be fed and watered
properly and regularly and is to be housed in clean, safe quarters. Pet is to be kept in a manner
so as not to be endangering itself or any other person or animal. 9. Proper restraint is to be provided and maintained to ensure the pet stays on your property. ALL PETS are to be kept indoors only.
Animals adopted from DRAC are intended to be part of your family. They are not your
neighbors' responsibility. You are liable for any damages to other people's properties that is
done by your animal. 10. DRAC reserves the right to reclaim said animal if it is found at large or is not in compliance
with our requirements in addition to local animal control laws. Adopter agrees to pay legal or other fees as needed in the event that DRAC must reclaim animal due to adopter’s failure to comply with contract. The Adopter will surrender said animal to DRAC unconditionally and without financial restitution, legal action, or compensation. 11. Adopter authorizes DRAC, in its sole discretion, to determine whether or not said pet will be
reclaimed and adoption terminated if conditions of this contract are not upheld. No refund will
be given if reclaimed for failure to comply. 12. The adopter will meet the terms of this contract, and obtain written permission from DRAC, before
relinquishing ownership to a second party. Adopter agrees not to sell, give, or use adopted pet for
any purpose other than a household pet unless otherwise stated on this adoption contract.
13. Any person found to have intentionally falsified information, either in the pre-adoption application or in this adoption contract shall be subject to a fee of $200 payable to the rescue.
DRAC agrees to provide copy of contract and medical information available for said pet.
